The Human Brain Produces Electrical Frequencies...

The human brain produces electrical frequencies which can be measured in Hertz (Hz) or cycles per second (cps). The brain normally operates in a range of frequencies from 1 to 30 plus Hz. The different brain frequencies allow us to access different personal resources. We can learn to change our brain frequencies to access more of the brain’s full potential. The slower brain frequencies are associated with power that may seem miraculous to those who habitually favour using the faster brain frequencies of the conscious mind (Beta). The hypnotic state of mind is between Beta and Delta on the diagram below.

Brain States

BETA 16 - 30 Hz

Awake, normal alert consciousness, feels stress, outer five senses, reason.

ALPHA 12 - 15 Hz

Physical relaxation, mental alertness, calm, gateway to the inner mind becomes wider

THETA 8 - 12 Hz

Deep relaxation and meditation, mental imagery

DELTA 5 - 7 Hz

Home of mind’s abilities, intuition,
 inspiration, innovation, creativity etc.
